 Change History

Use

The change history enables you to see what changes have been made to your business partner data. This includes changes to the general data and other data such as roles, addresses, status, bank details, payment cards, identification numbers, industries, and relationships.

The change history is available on the Account , Contact , and Employee pages and provides the following information:

  • User who made the change with date and time

  • Technical name of the table to which the change applies and the relevant field

  • Old value and new value

  • Table key

This is the technical table key. For changes to sales area data, for example, the table key gives the sales organization. In the case of bank details, the key identifies each separate set of bank details for an account:

    Example

    ID

    Bank Name

    Account Number

    001

    Deutsche Bank Hamburg

    1234567

    GIRO

    National Westminster Bank

    1234568

The history is sorted chronologically, with the most recent change shown first.

You also have the option of using a report to display the change history for several business partners at a time, for a selected period and specified selection criteria. To do this, you run the report BUSCHDOC, and, if required, the report BUPSELG5 or BUPSELG0 beforehand, which generate the selection criteria for the report BUSCHDOC.

Note Note

A historical view of the data ( History Data ) is available for both addresses and bank details. This should not be confused with the change history.

The History Data option provided for addresses and bank details allows you to select a key date in the past and view the data as it was on that particular date. Unlike the change history, it does not track and show the changes that have been made to the data.

End of the note.
