These roles have been created to facilitate the use of handover and takeover functions in SAP NetWeaver® Business Client. For more information, see Takeover/Handover of Technical Objects.
To be able to use these roles, you must activate the business functions LOG_EAM_TOHO (Takeover/Handover of Technical Objects) and LOG_EAM_TOHO_2 (Takeover/Handover Improvements). These roles belong to the application component PM-EQM-THO.
Depending on the system landscape used, the role requires individual applications or reports from remote systems. This is the case in particular with reports (system alias SAP_BW, SAP_BI). In this case, you have to create system connections. For more information, see 5.10 Remote Systems
In most cases, the name of the system connection matches the name of the system alias, but specific connection attributes can be attached (_RFC, _HTTP, _HTTPS). For most of the ERP NWBC roles, the connection type is H. This role contains the following system alias:
SAP_ECC_MANUFACTURING
Some of the roles in SAP NetWeaver Business Client differ from the corresponding Portal roles with regard to the features offered. For more information, see SAP Note 1521466.
