With this business function, you can use the Dealer Portal, which is based on Web Dynpro for ABAP, for the communication and cooperation between original equipment manufacturers, importers, car distributors, and car dealers. There are functions available for vehicle sales and spare parts procurement.
This business function also enables you to use the Enterprise Services for sales orders and vehicles.
With the Warranty Claim Processing for the Dealer Portal (WTY_DP_1) business function, you can also use functions for warranty claim processing.

General Prerequisites
You have activated the following business functions in your back-end system:
Dealer Portal, Veh. Mgmt. Syst., Spare Parts, Enterpr. Serv. (AUTO_DP_1)
If you want to use the Create Sales Order_V2 and Update Sales Order operations, you must also activate the Operations, Enterprise Services 2 (LOG_ESOA_OPS_2) business function in your back-end system.
Prerequisites for Spare Parts Procurement
You have defined an RFC destination in the back-end system for spare parts procurement so that the Dealer Portal and the back-end system can communicate.
To enable and monitor access to the Dealer Portal, you have made the following assignments for spare parts procurement. In the SAP Easy Access screen, choose
:Definition of logical systems and assignment to back-end system
In this step you define a logical system and assign it to a back-end system. You can assign the back-end system to the local system or to an RFC destination.
Assign partners to systems
In this step you assign the partner (dealer) that you created as a customer in the back-end system to a logical system.
Assign users to partners (dealers)
In this step you assign users that you created in the back-end system to one or more partners (dealers).
You have made the necessary Customizing settings for Spare Parts Procurement in the Dealer Portal by choosing

The following functions are available for vehicle sales in the Dealer Portal:
Order Management for Vehicles
You can create sales orders and vehicles for make-to-order production. You can either configure the vehicle or search for it in the vehicle stock list. If the vehicle you want is not in the vehicle stock list, you can create a sales order and the vehicle.
You can search for available vehicles you require for make-to-stock production. You can create a reservation or a sales order for the vehicle and assign it to the end customer.
You can change or cancel orders and reservations.
You can display detailed information about vehicles and sales orders.
You can create, change, and delete inquiries with a requested configuration.
Search Functions
You can search for one or more vehicles according to specific search criteria such as model, vehicle status, availability, and location.
You can search for existing vehicles in the vehicle stock list using a configuration of a specific vehicle model.
You can search for documents (such as sales orders, inquiries).
You can search for end customers and from there create an order, for example.
Vehicle Transfer (from dealer A to dealer B)
You can request and cancel vehicle transfers at another dealer. You can also accept, execute, or reject that vehicles be transferred to you.
Preselection of Vehicle Models
Before you configure a vehicle, you can make a preselection of possible vehicle models by setting a filter in the SAP List Viewer (ALV).
Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC)
You can save vehicle configurations for end customers as requests without having to create a vehicle.
You can change and delete an inquiry.
You can search for inquiries. You can enter search criteria such as model, end customer, or customer purchase order number.
You can execute a price simulation for the vehicle configuration.
Managing End Customers
You can create, change, delete, and search for end customer data. In addition, you can create a configuration for a vehicle model and then create a sales order for a specific end customer.
Print Function
You can print sales documents and vehicle configurations using smart forms.
Personalization
You can adjust the display of vehicle sales in the Dealer Portal to meet your user-specific requirements. By selecting the organizational role, you can decide which dealer you are working for. You can also define the country-specific format in which you want addresses to be displayed and which search method you want the system to use for multiple-value characteristics.
The following functions are available for Spare Parts Procurement in the Dealer Portal:
Order Management for Spare Parts
You can create orders with different order types (including return orders) and change, copy, delete, and simulate orders. You can also print order confirmations and save orders in XML format.
You can cancel orders with a rejection reason.
You can search for orders using search criteria.
You can create order items using predefined templates that contain the materials and quantities. You can also create and delete templates. You can select order items from a catalog and create them.

Basket
Each user has one basket. You can add materials (spare parts) as items to your basket and delete them if necessary. If you create an order for the materials in the shopping basket, the system copies the items in the shopping basket to a new order and then deletes them from the shopping basket.
Search Functions
You can search for orders to check their status or edit them. From the results list, you can create new orders, and copy, change, delete, and print orders.
You can search for order items with parts to be returned that the original equipment manufacturer or importer has flagged as parts to be returned in the back-end system. From the results list, you can create a return order for these items.
You can search for deliveries that the original equipment manufacturer or importer has created for your orders in the back-end system. From the results list, you can select a delivery and create a return order.
You can search for invoices that the original equipment manufacturer or importer has created for your orders and their deliveries in the back-end system. From the results list, you can display detailed information for an invoice as well as the related orders and deliveries.
You can search for materials and display information from the material master record, the availability check, and price information for these materials.
Personalization
You can tailor the spare parts procurement display in the Dealer Portal to meet your user-specific requirements.
Enterprise Services are available as an interface between your own user interface and the Vehicle Management System (VMS).
