Features

Applicant Tracking
  • Confirmations

Recruiters can collect confirmations from managers, decision makers, and candidates. To do this, they send a corresponding activity via Activity Management to the persons reporting the confirmations. Recruiters can also complete confirmations on behalf of these persons. This function allows recruiters to call candidates to arrange an appointment and then to store the verbal confirmation received from the candidate on the telephone in the system.

  • Automatic rankings of candidates

Recruiters can have the system rank candidates in assignment lists by matching information in the candidate profile with requisition criteria or based on the criteria in the reference search query, and thus prescreen the candidates automatically.

Recruiters can rank candidates based on individually selected questionnaires.

  • Public search queries (as of release 604 SP05)

When saving search queries, recruiters can identify them as Public and so make these search queries available to other recruiters. This function is available to recruiters when searching for candidates within Talent Relationship Management and when searching for candidates within Requisition Management. Recruiters can also identify search queries as Public for the search for requisitions, so that these search queries are also available to other recruiters as generic search queries for searches for suitable requisitions for candidates. For more information, see Working with Search Applications.

  • Performance improvement of the candidate assignment list (as of release 604 SP06)

You can now supply candidate assignment lists (assignment lists of candidates to requisitions) with data using buffered lists. Since candidate assignment lists are often very extensive, the large quantities of data influenced the performance of these lists as the displayed data had to be read from the database tables. Now, the buffered lists immediately provide the relevant data that is required to build the candidate assignment lists and thus significantly increase the performance of these lists.

Requisition Management
  • New Restricted Recruiter authorization role

You assign this role to recruiters who are to create or change requisitions, but not release them. Restricted recruiters have to request the release from a recruiter with the appropriate authorization. In addition, restricted recruiters do not have the authorization to release publications or withdraw published job postings.

  • Workflow for Approving a Requisition

A workflow is available to send the requisition that was created by a restricted recruiter (requester) with the status Draft to the relevant recruiter (approver) for checking and releasing.

  • Publish job postings in two steps

The two-step process enables the recruiter to check the quality and content of his or her information before it is published and to make any last-minute changes before the actual publication.

  • Transfer qualifications from the position to the requisition

When a requisition is created, SAP E-Recruiting automatically transfers the qualifications stored for the position, transferring them from the assigned position to the requirements of the requisition. In this way, you can make sure that the recruiter takes into account all qualifications relevant for the position when searching for suitable candidates.

  • Specify lead recruiter in support groups for Manager Involvement

When creating a support group, the recruiting administrator has to identify one of the assigned recruiters as the lead recruiter. This identifier is relevant for support groups that a manager assigns to the requisition request during the Create Requisition Request Manager Self-Service (MSS) scenario. Once the request has been approved, the new requisition appears in the dashboard of the lead recruiter in the My Draft Requisitions query. Therefore, the lead recruiter initially receives all requisitions of the assigned support team.

Recruiter's Work Center
  • New queries in the dashboard

The following queries are available to recruiters as worklists, supporting them in their daily tasks. The queries contain configurable results lists from which recruiters can navigate directly to the relevant objects and processes:

    • My New Applications

    • New Team Applications

    • Manually Entered Applications (as of release 604 SP05)

    • My Manually Entered Applications (as of release 604 SP05)

    • My Planned Activities

    • My Planned Correspondence Activities

    • Talent Groups

    • My Planned TRM Activities

    • New Registered Candidates

  • Enhancements to Talent Relationship Management

The new Talent Groups query in the dashboard enables recruiters to use talent groups more efficiently in their work. Recruiters thus have direct access to all of their talent groups and to the relevant lists of assigned candidates. Several functions are available to recruiters for these lists.

  • Work Overview for calling work items

In the work center, recruiters have a universal worklist available to them. This universal worklist contains the work items relevant for the recruiter, such as work items for approving requisitions.

Search Functions
  • Structured and unstructured data no longer separated

The system now indexes unstructured data (from attachments) together with structured data. This means that the attachments of an object are now part of the object's search profile. The Knowledge Provider (KPro) index that was previously used for unstructured data is therefore obsolete. SAP E-Recruiting uses only the Search Engine Service (SES) for indexing and searching. With these combined indexes, a comprehensive search of both unstructured and structured data is now possible. This also improves the performance of the search applications.

Note Note

These changes are relevant only if you have activated the business function HCM_ERC_CI_3 and also use Search and Classification (TREX) with version 7.10.18.1 or higher.

End of the note.
  • Ranking algorithm for automatic rankings

SAP E-Recruiting now uses the standard TREX ranking algorithm to rank and sort hits in searches automatically.

Note Note

These changes are relevant only if you have activated the business function HCM_ERC_CI_3 and also use Search and Classification (TREX) with version 7.10.18.1 or higher.

End of the note.
  • Show or hide search criteria

Recruiters can show or hide the search criteria in all search applications available to them.

  • Requisition criteria as search query

When searching for candidates in the context of a requisition, recruiters can use the automatically generated Requisition Criteria search query to use the criteria stored in the requisition as search criteria for the search for suitable candidates. They can also use the requisition criteria for the ranking of candidates in the assignment list for the requisition.
