To be able to use all the functions, you have to make additional settings in the system. You make the required settings in Customizing for integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE). To do this, choose   Logistics - General   Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)   Basic Data   Integrated Product Engineering   Connection to cProjects   and   iPPE Product Structure Administration   Geometric Instances  .

Features

The following functions are available:

  • Geometric Instance

    Geometric instances contain geometric data of an individual occurrence of a component within a product structure, which you can then use to display Digital Mockups (DMU) or in Engineering Desktop (see Geometric Instance).

  • Integration of the Digital Mockup Viewer (DMU Viewer) in the iPPE Workbench (see Display of Digital Mockups)

  • Integration of Collaboration Projects (cProjects)

    You can link an iPPE object (variant or node) to a cProjects object (task or checklist item) (see Connection to Collaboration Projects).
