This business function activates the Customizing settings for integrated use of an external Social Services partner solution with Public Sector Collection and Disbursement (PSCD).
Prerequisites
You have activated the Business Function Set Industry Extension for Public Sector and the business function PSCD, Social Services.
Note
When you activate the business function PSCD, Social Services, the system automatically activates the PSCD and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) functions that are required for billing in the background.
Features
You can use this business function to represent business processes in an external Social Services partner solution in an integrated scenario with Public Sector Collection and Disbursement (PSCD). Business processes for payment-based social services and service settlement are supported as follows:
The external Social Services partner solution is used as the leading system in this integration scenario. In the external Social Services partner solution, business partner data is entered by requesters, social services are calculated and approved, and incoming and outgoing payment directives are posted.
Master data entered in the external Social Services partner solution by requesters and their social services and transaction data for payment postings are transferred to PSCD. In PSCD, requesters are represented as business partners in the role Contract Partner and social services are represented in contract accounts and contract objects. PSCD is used as a backend system in which payment processing takes place on the basis of payments or receivables.
You can return the processing steps for FI-CA documents posted in PSCD as status confirmations to the external Social Services partner solution where you can also update the payment status of the respective social services.
