A subset of a live rates plan for defined planning combinations based on a specific responsibility assignment.

 

You use this business object to perform high-level planning and detailed planning for live rates.

When you run the report Live Rates Planning Elements Creation (RCRM_FM_LRTP_CREATE_ELM), the system creates live rates planning elements based on live rates territories, and account and product hierarchy levels. You can then edit the live rates planning elements to plan your live rates at a more detailed level.

You have activated the business function Claims and Funds Management (CRM_CF_1).

Structure

A live rates planning element shows general data such as the planning period and sales organization from the live rates plan.

Status Management for Live Rates Planning Elements

You can make changes to the status of a live rates planning element. The following table outlines the statuses you can use in a live rates planning element:

Status

Description

In High-Level Planning

When a live rates planning element has this status, you can do the following:

  • Run the following reports:

    • Live Rates Funds Determination (RCRM_FM_LRTP_FUND_DETERMINE)

    • Live Rates Pertinent Master Data Changes (RCRM_FM_LRTP_PMDC)

  • Distribute the high-level live rates to the detailed planning layouts

  • Edit the live rates planning elements

You cannot delete a live rates planning element that has this status.

In Detailed Planning

When a live rates planning element has this status, you can do the following:

  • Run the following reports:

    • Live rates Funds Determination (RCRM_FM_LRTP_FUND_DETERMINE)

    • Live Rates Pertinent Master Data Changes (RCRM_FM_LRTP_PMDC)

  • Edit the live rates planning elements, for example, by adding additional fund budget

  • Calculate the latest estimates

You cannot delete a live rates planning element that has this status.

Completed Planning

When a live rates planning element has this status, you can view the high-level planning but not the detailed planning. If the related live rates plan has the status In Planning or Approved you can also run the following reports:

  • Live Rates Funds Determination RCRM_FM_LRTP_FUND_DETERMINE)

  • Live Rates Pertinent Master Data Changes (RCRM_FM_LRTP_PMDC)

Note Note

You can only change the status of a live rates planning element to Completed Planning from the status In Detailed Planning.

You cannot delete a live rates planning element that has this status.

Closed

You can change the status of a live rates planning element to Closed, for example, if a territory is no longer valid for live rate because of master data changes.

To save a live rates planning element with this status, you must enter a reason. If the system changes the status to Closed, because the live rates plan was closed, then the system enters the reason from the live rate plan in the live rates planning element.

You cannot delete a live rates planning element that has this status. You can no longer edit the planning element or run reports involving this live rates planning element.

Archived

When a live rates planning element has this status, it indicates that the live rates planning element and related live rates plan are archived.

The figure below illustrates the statuses for live rates plans and live rates planning elements and is followed by an explanation:

The status of a live rates planning element has the following flow:

  • From In High-Level Planning to In Detailed Planning or Closed

  • From In Detailed Planning to In High-Level Planning, Completed Planning, or Closed

  • From Completed Planning to In High-Level Planning or Closed

  • From Closed to Archived

You can only change the status of a live rates plan to Approved if the related live rates planning elements have the status Completed Planning or Closed.

In High-Level Planning

The system changes the status of a live rates planning element to In High-Level Planning when the status of the related live rates plan is set to In Planning.

Note Note

You cannot change the status of a live rates planning element to In High-Level Planning from the status Completed Planning. Only the system can change the status of the live rates planning element to In High-Level Planning from Completed Planning.

Completed Planning

You can only change the status of a live rates plan to Approved when the status of all related live rates planning elements is set to Completed Planning.

Closed

The system changes the status of a live rates planning element to Closed when the status of the related live rates plan is set to Closed.

Archived

The system changes the status of a live rates planning element to Archived when the status of the related live rates plan is set to Archived.
