Some of the functions for SAP E-Recruiting are relevant only for Recruitment, others are also relevant for Succession Planning. For additional information, see the descriptions for the relevant functions.

End of the note.

Integration

You can also use the HCM, SAP E-Recruiting Search Functions 1 business function to enhance the functions of the search applications within SAP E-Recruiting and to improve the performance of the searches.

You can use the HCM, MSS for SAP E-Recruiting business function to improve manager involvement in SAP E-Recruiting by including it in the portal.

You can use the HCM, Talent Management Analytics 1 business function to provide additional BI Content for Talent Management.

Prerequisites

  • You have activated this business function in the system in which you have installed SAP E-Recruiting.

  • In the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP E-Recruiting, you have made the Customizing settings described in the release note HCM_ERC_CL_1: Business Function HCM, SAP E-Recruiting 1 (new).

Features

Enhancements for Support Teams (Recruitment and Succession Planning)

Up until now, a distinction was made in SAP E-Recruiting between user groups and user lists. Both concepts are now included in the support group.

In support groups, you group persons that can be assigned together to the support teams of requisitions (succession plans), talent groups, application groups, applications, and agencies. Changes to a support group have an immediate effect on all assignments.

The quantity of data that is saved in the database for the support teams is significantly reduced. This results in improved system performance.

Enhanced Check of Registered Applicants when Entering External Applications (Recruitment)

You can now specify - in accordance with your own requirements - the criteria that the system uses to recognize duplicate entries for the entry of external applications.

Mass Processing of Invitation Activities and Assigned Reference Activities (Recruitment and Succession Planning)

You can use this function to send simultaneous invitations to multiple candidates that are assigned to a requisition (succession plan) or an application group, with regard to their candidacy. When creating the invitation, you can also create reference activities required for activities of the type Invitation and customize the changeable letter section of the assigned letter. For further information, see Sending of Correspondence (Recruitment) or Sending of Correspondence (Succession Planning).

Prepopulation of Texts for Job Posting for a Requisition with Texts from SAP HR System (Recruitment)

You can use this function to prefill the texts for job postings with default texts for different languages. You have already created the texts to be used here in your SAP HR system. In this way, when recruiters are creating a job posting, you can provide them with contextually and legally correct text templates that you have already created in the system for other purposes.

Flexibilization of Possible Entries for the Organizational Data when Creating a Requisition (Recruitment)

When recruiters enter the organizational data for a requisition, you can restrict the possible entries for the recruiters to just the relevant information.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) and choose Assign Parameters to Parameter Types.

Worklist with Questionnaires for the Dashboard (Recruitment and Succession Planning)

You can use this function to provide recruiters (succession planners) with the Questionnaire To Be Completed worklist in the Dashboard, for example. This worklist contains the questionnaires that the recruiter (succession planner) has to complete for candidates, for example.

Resume Parsing (Recruitment)

You can use this function to facilitate candidates in entering data from their resumes. Candidates can use Resume Parsing to upload and parse their resumes when applying for a job posting. A third-party vendor extracts and catalogs the data from the submitted resume. The candidates can then decide whether they want to adopt the data in their profiles or update the data for an existing profile.

Your company can also use Resume Parsing to extract and structure resumes submitted by candidates and then use these resumes within the recruitment process.

Note Note

The software of the third-party vendor is not delivered by SAP.

End of the note.

Background Check (Recruitment)

Employers can use Background Check to verify information that candidates have provided about their professional background. Data pertaining to education, work experience, or qualifications is gathered in SAP E-Recruiting and forwarded to a third-party vendor who validates the accuracy of the data provided. Depending on the services offered by the selected vendor, you can also review information about candidates' driving or military records, credit or criminal history, or other criteria.

Note Note

The software of the third-party vendor is not delivered by SAP.

End of the note.

New Candidate Services (Recruitment)

You can use these services to provide candidates with improved access to current employment opportunities in your company that are of interest to them.

The business function contains the following services for the candidate:

  • Tell a Friend

Candidates can use this service to forward to other persons any interesting job postings that they have found using the search function.

For more information, see Recommendation of Job Posting.

  • Hot Jobs

When creating publications, recruiters can feature publications for jobs that are particularly recent or that need to be filled as quickly as possible.

Candidates can see that it is particularly worthwhile applying for employment opportunities identified in this way.

For more information, see Hot Jobs

  • Job Agent

Candidates can use this service to receive at regular intervals information about employment opportunities that are of interest to them.

For more information, see Notification of Relevant Employment Opportunities (Job Agent).
