SAP Oil & Gas with Utilities 

Use

This business function set provides you with the business functions for the special requirements of the oil and gas industry and the utilities industry.

Integration

This is a technical integration of the Oil and Gas and Utilities business functions in one system and one client. The Oil and Gas and Utilities functions can run in parallel in one system and one client. However, a functional integration of the Oil and Gas and Utilities functions has not taken place.

Since you cannot use your system productively during the switch from the SAP Oil and Gas business function set to the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set, you can only perform the switch as part of an upgrade project or a special implementation project.

Activities

The following applies for activating the business function set:

●      As an Oil and Gas customer with the SAP Oil and Gas business function set already active, you can switch from the SAP Oil and Gas business function set to the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set.

●      Once you have switched to the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set, you can activate the Utilities business functions in addition to the Oil and Gas business functions.

●      As a Utilities customer with business function set Utilities already active, you can switch to the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set.

●      Once you have switched to the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set, you can activate the Utilities business functions in addition to the Oil and Gas business functions.

●      As a new customer, you can select the SAP Oil and Gas business function set or the SAP Oil and Gas with Utilities business function set, and then activate the business functions you want to use.
