With this business function, you can use SAP CRM condition records that are based on target groups and product segments in SAP ECC. This business function enhances the existing condition exchange capabilities between SAP CRM and SAP ECC within the context of pricing, free goods determination, and campaign determination.
You create the condition records based on target groups and product segments in SAP CRM.
You use the scenario Trade Promotion Management in SAP CRM and process your sales orders using SAP ECC.
● You must create a separate condition record in SAP ECC for each business partner in a target group and each product in a product segment.
● If you create a condition record based on a target group or product segment in SAP CRM and then transfer this condition record to SAP ECC, SAP ECC explodes the target group or product segment and creates a separate condition record for each business partner or product. The reference to the target group or product segment is lost.
● You can transfer condition records that contain a target group or product segment as a key field from SAP CRM to SAP ECC and continue using them there.
● The system automatically updates the field catalog within Customizing for the condition technique with the fields for target group (TARGET_GROUP ID) and product segment (PROD_SEGMENT ID).
Target groups and product segments are integrated with the sales order, but not with the billing document. Therefore, if you have used condition records that are based on a target group or product segment in a sales order, you should not trigger another price determination when processing the billing document since this could calculate a different price than the price in the sales order.
