You can use this business function to implement various enhancements that are common in the automotive industry but can be used in all industries. These enhancements are in the Self-Billing, 8D Report, and Dealer Portal areas.

Features

Self-Billing

If you activate the Automotive, Generic Innovations (AUTO_GEN_CI_1) business function, the following enhancements are available:

● Up to now, if a header data record contained more than one material item and some of them were incorrect or not assigned to internal sales documents (such as deliveries), you could not further process any material items that were in the header data record. Now you can exclude the incorrect material items and assign them to a new header data record for further processing.

● You can archive the transmission results from the SD self-billing procedure based on the internal transmission ID.

8D Report Automotive

In the quality notification area, there are new, automotive-specific functions for the 8D report.

● You can store the defect cause and information about the cause effect at item level in the detailed data for the task.

● You can also store the how much a cause is involved in a defect in the detailed data for the cause.

● The PDF form QM_QN8D_REP_AUTO is provided for the output of the 8D report.

Dealer Portal

If you activate the Automotive, Generic Innovations (AUTO_GEN_CI_1) business function, you can use extended search criteria in the Dealer Portal to search for vehicles based on the configuration.

In addition, you do not have to select a specific vehicle immediately, but rather you can first enter the requirements and then assign it to the sales order later when the vehicle is completed.
