Example documentationLead Creation from the Internet

This is an example of how to create leads from the Internet.

A car manufacturer introduces a new model, Model Y. The manufacturer creates a special webpage for this model on its website. A prospective customer, Winnie Chung, logs on to her personalized webpage. Placed prominently on this page is the hyperlinked question, “Are you interested in Model Y? Then, take this survey!” When Ms. Chung clicks on the hyperlink, an intermediate page containing a survey opens. Ms. Chung is required to answer a few questions about her tastes, preferences, buying patterns, and contact information. When she clicks Submit, a lead is automatically generated in the system. A confirmation page is displayed, which states that Ms. Chung will soon be contacted by the company.
