Password Parameters
Password parameters define the basic rules for accessing mobile applications such as Mobile Sales and Mobile Service.
In the Mobile System Maintenance (MSY) application, you can change the values of some of the password parameters that are delivered by SAP, by choosing .
You have assigned a password to a mobile application user using
the Admin Console
in CRM.
Note
You can also use the TU02
transaction
to configure passwords. The passwords are stored in the PHAI table in CRM.
Password parameters
You can change the value
of a parameter only when the Editable
indicator
is selected.
You can enter an integer value for a parameter only when the Numeric
indicator
is selected.

Password rules
A user is assigned an initial password, which has to be changed when the user logs on for the first time.
The password is not case-sensitive.
The minimum length of the password can be configured to a value ranging from three to eight characters.
The password can have a maximum of eight characters.
The first three characters of the password:
Must not occur in the same order as in the user ID
Must not be identical
Must not be spaces
The password must not contain the words PASS or SAP.
The first character of the password must not be a question mark (?) or an exclamatory point (!)
Note
You can use all characters from the syntactical character set; that is, all letters and symbols.
Users can change the password only while logging on to a mobile application and only once a day.
This restriction does not apply to the system administrator.
A new password must be different from the last five passwords.
