Background documentation Authorizations in TMS  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

In the default configuration of the Transport Management System (TMS), the same authorizations and authorization rules apply as for the CTS. For more information, see Authorization Objects in the CTS.

The following principles apply in the TMS:

●      When using TMS, SAP systems cannot be accessed within the transport domain from an SAP system outside the transport domain.

●      For each target system, two RFC connections are used (one for read access and one for change access). For more information, see RFC Connections in the TMS.

●      The authorization check always occurs in the target system.

●      You can only change the TMS configuration from the transport domain controller. The systems in the domain only accept configuration changes that were made on the transport domain controller.
