This role can be used to combine purchase requisitions and purchase orders, round off the quantities to be ordered, if required, and add new articles.

Purchase orders are optimized in terms of the following criteria:

• Making best use out of scales
• Forward buying in anticipation of price increases
• Complying with vendor constraints (restrictions)
• Optimizing transport loads
• Combining and splitting purchase orders
• Scheduling of purchase orders
