With this business function, course administrators can get an overview of the education and training programs in their areas of responsibility. The business function provides the following evaluation options:

You can use these evaluation options to analyze business processes and business activities in the education and training area of your organization, identify trends, and recognize the causes and effects of these trends. The business function has the following advantages:
Cross-component evaluations of learning statistics
Insight into correlations between education and training programs and other components, such as Talent Management
Display of learning statistics with the graphical layout options provided by a dashboard
Navigation from the dashboards to detailed BI content.
In doing so, you can answer the following questions:
Are the available training programs suitable for awarding a desired or required qualification?
Do the education and training activities in the organization match up with other activities in Talent Management?
How much do education and training activities cost and are these costs used equally by all employees?
Which subject areas have the greatest expenditures for the organization?
Which delivery method (examples: Web-based training, classroom training, virtual classroom training) is suitable for keeping expenses for training and education programs down while at the same time strategically meeting the course demand?
Which legally required education and training activities have been offered and attended?
With the HCM, Cross Analytics (HCM_ANALYTICS_1) business function, all queries and dashboards delivered for HCM with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 5 (queries) and Extension for Extension for SAP NetWeaver 7.02 BI Content Add-On (dashboards) are available for the Talent Management Specialist portal role in the Business Package for Talent Management Specialist 1.51. In addition to the portal versions, the Course Administrator role is also available in a version for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) as of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. The business function HCM, Roles for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (HCM_NWBC_ROLES) provides you with an overview of all Human Resources roles that are available as of SAP enhancement package 5 in a version for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC). The Learning Activities of the Organization/Talents query supports you in the analysis of important key figures in the education and training area. You can break down the statistical key figures (totals and averages) according to various groups such as organizational units, talent groups, job families, or functional areas.
The number of employees who have participated in a course
The total and average number of course hours
Total and average course costs
This gives you an overview of the scope, utilization, and expenses of education and training programs in your orgazination, such as:
Course costs
Time required for a course
Course offering
Talents (from relevant talent groups) who participated or did not participate in courses
You also get an overview of how education and training programs fit the demands of certain talent groups and what the expenses are for such training programs.
You can check how legal requirements are being met in the area of education and training programs and see if employees in your organization have participated in certain legally required courses.

Learning Activities of Talents
You can use dashboards to display all statistics on the learning activities in your organization as a graphic. You have the same evaluation options as in the Learning Activities of the Organization/Talents query. For example, you can get an overview of which education and training programs are offered and how much time and money are expended for them. Dashboards provide learning statistics on a higher aggregation level, such as the total number of course days in the entire organization or for all talent groups.
You can access the BI query directly from the dashboards for deeper analyses.
