Item Proposals in Sales Transactions
Item proposals are used as input help in sales orders and quotations. They are especially useful in the Interaction Center, for example if customers order the same products again and again.
Item proposals are available in SAP CRM, including the Interaction Center (IC).
Item proposals cannot be displayed in CRM Web Channel.
You have set up the item proposals in sales transactions in SAP CRM Customizing, by choosing . In the node Past Orders
, you make the settings for item proposals from previous orders.
For item proposals from listings, you have created a listing and flagged the products within it as relevant for product proposals. For more information, see Listings.
Item proposals are displayed directly in the Items
assignment block.
You can automatically display item proposals, or manually trigger the display. To manually trigger the display of proposals, set the indicator Past Orders on Request
or Product Listing on Request
in the Customizing of product proposals, in the activity Assign Method Schema to Transaction Type
.
Item proposals appear at the end of the item list as suggested items, that is without item numbers. You can transfer the suggested items as final order items, by entering an order amount. Only then can the system carry out pricing and an availability check for the items.
The following types of item proposal exist:
Item Proposals from Past Orders
The system proposes items from the previous sales transactions for this customer, that is products and order quantities.
You can define the transaction types and the number of transactions in a certain time frame that the system draws from to determine proposed items, for example the last 10 sales orders from the past three months.
You can define how the system calculates the proposed quantities: from the last order, or as an average quantity from the previously defined number of orders.
You can select the required transactions using a popup, or the system can immediately (after you have entered the customer data) display all products from the past transactions.
Item Proposals from Listings and Exclusions
If a listing is determined for the customer, the system proposes the products from it. If an exclusion exists for certain products, these products are not displayed in the proposal list. This way, items that would later have to be rejected by the exclusion check are not proposed.
You can also use item proposals in ERP orders in SAP CRM. Here, you must note the following special features:
In ERP transactions, the assignment of the proposed product to a marketing project is not displayed.
You can use the CRM price lists for the price display, if you have transferred the ERP pricing conditions to CRM.
You can transfer listings from ERP to CRM.
You cannot transfer product proposals from ERP to CRM.
