Role Role: SAP_PLMWUI_EDESK2

This sample role is for design engineers working with CAD systems. This role allows users to store CAD data in the SAP Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM) system using Engineering Desktop (E-desktop). In addition, this role allows you to create, change, and display product assemblies according to the document structure and attaches the document structure to the assembly. Further, this role allows you to attach the document structure to the product item variant and load one or more document structures attached to product item variants into the CAD system.

Caution Caution

This role should be used as a demo role with demo users only. A demo role must not be used in a production system in case it contains wildcards “*” (asterisks) for parameters, which might grant too many authorizations to users. After copying this role to a production system, each authorization parameter containing an asterisk must be thoroughly checked before use.
