Detail Planning of Personnel Cost Planning service in the Manager Self-Service portal role

  • In the standard system, detail planning for line managers is already contained in Manager Self-Service, both in the portal role and in the NWBC role. The use case does not require any additional activities.

In Role Maintenance (transaction PFCG), administrators for Personnel Cost Planning (who have enhanced authorization) also have the example role SAP_HR_CPS_DET_PLAN_C_SR_NWBC available to them for NWBC. This role contains the Personnel Cost Planning service and its relevant authorizations.

For administrators for Personnel Cost Planning to use the portal, you must create an iView for them and assign a portal role to them. You can use the above-mentioned NWBC example role SAP_HR_CPS_DET_PLAN_C_SR_NWBC as a reference.

You can also set up a display mode for line managers where no changes can be made. You do this the same way as described above for administrators for Personnel Cost Planning, this time using example role SAP_HR_CPS_DET_PLAN_D_SR_NWBC.

    Note Note

    End of the note.

The Detail Planning (PHCPDETL) and Change Plan Data (PHCPDETLC) transactions are no longer available with the interface for the Business Server Pages (BSP) after this business function has been activated.

  • You have made the required settings in Customizing for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation. For more information, see the release note for this business function.

Features

Data collection

Planning run
  • Dependent cost items

When deriving dependent cost tems from the Planning of Pers. Costs infotype (0666) (Personnel Management) or Planning of Pers. Costs infotype (5010) (Organizational Management), you can take base cost items outside of the planning period or planning organizational unit into account.

  • Past costs of vacant positions

You can determine how costs of vacant positions incurred before the start of a planning run are considered.

  • Enhancement of employee grouping for dependent cost items and additional cost items

You can also group according to master cost center.

  • Enhancement of organizational object grouping for dependent cost items and additional cost items

You can also now group according to employee group, employee subgroup, or master cost center.

Detail plan
  • New Manager Self-Service

Line managers can now perform detailed planning for their areas of responsibility with the Manager Self-Service portal role or the Manager Self-Service NWBC role.

Along with the standard service for detail planning for line managers, you can also set up a display-mode service for line managers and administrators for Personnel Cost Planning with enhanced authorization. To do this, read the second paragraph under Prerequisites.

  • User-specific view

You can use the settings dialog box for the selected cost plan to make changes the layout of a cost plan (for example, column selection, filters, display) and save the layout as a user-specific view.

  • Filter for cost items

You can filter cost items using a selection list on the user interface.

  • Fixed column headers

The area with the column headers always remains visible when you scroll through an output list.

  • Fixed columns

The area with the columns that contain key information always remains visible when you scroll horizontally through an output list.

  • Display of cost units

In Customizing, you can specify how cost units (organizational units) are displayed in the selection list for detail planning on the Web Dynpro ABAP interface. They can be displayed as long or short texts with or without the object ID.

  • Leaving Date

You can enter a leaving date to give a time limit to the capacity utilization level and set it to 0%.

  • Change log with display of the increase percentage of a cost item

In the change log, when a change is made to Increase Cost Item, the entered percentage is displayed.

  • Hide and Show Cost Objects Without Costs

In this view, you can also use a pushbutton to hide and show cost objects that do not contain any costs for the selected cost plan.

  • Cost items with amount per unit

Sie können Kostenbestandteile mit Betrag pro Einheit einfügen und bearbeiten (bisher: Betrag, Anzahl).

  • Currency conversion

Using the Currency selection list of the displayed cost plan (for example, Total Costs Per Cost Object) you can convert the defined plan currency (such as EUR) to another currency and display this new currency. This is for informational purposes only and does not change the plan data. You can only make changes to the plan when it is displayed in the plan currency.

  • Context-dependent editability of cost items

In Customizing, you can determine whether a cost item can be changed in the detail planning depending on the planning context (for example: CP personnel cost planning).

  • Reset and display events per cost object

You can select one or more cost objects and use the Data Changes pushbutton to display the events for each selection and show the last event for each (not including organizational reassignments).

Reporting
  • Transferring of amounts from Personnel Cost Planning to Controlling

You can transfer amounts and their units to controlling as long as they exist in the detail planning. These amounts and units are copied to the original document and transferred to controlling during posting. To display the amounts and their units, you may need to adjust the list output layout (for example, the display of the Number and Unit for Number columns).

The following reports have been enhanced for this purpose:

    • Releasing of the Plan and Generating of Original Documents

    • Display Original Documents

    • Posting to Accounting

  • Enhanced grouping of cost objects for Personnel Cost Planning and Simulation for account determination in accounting

You can also group according to master cost center.

  • Sorting employees in the ouput list by last name

For this purpose, reports where employee lists are output have been enhanced. For more information, see the relevant report documentation, such as Management of Personnel Cost Plans.
