You can use this business function to enable the Product Availability Requirement business object. Additional Customizing activities and a report are delivered to use the operations of this business object. This business object allows you to make individual temporary reservations of quantity without changing the confirmed quantity, or run simulative availability checks (ATP checks), for example.

Integration

This business function is based on the availability check in the ERP system (component SD-BF-AC), and on the extension of the availability check Local ATP Check in ERP from CRM (component SD-BF-AC-LATP).

Activate Local ATP Check

You need to activate the local ATP check if you want to run the availability check using the Product Availability Requirement business object. You activate the local ATP check in Customizing for SAP ERP under   Sales and Distribution   Basic Functions   Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements   Service-Based Availability Check   Activate Local ATP Check  .

Create Intervals for the Number Range Object of the Business Object

For the Create Requirement service operation of the Product Availability Requirement business object, you must create intervals for the number range object delivered in the standard system. You create intervals in Customizing for SAP ERP under   Sales and Distribution   Basic Functions   Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements   Service-Based Availability Check   Create Intervals for the Number Range Object for PAR  .

Cancel or Delete Instances of the Business Object

You can use the Cancel or Delete Instances of the Product Availability Requirement BO report to cancel or delete instances of the Product Availability Requirement business object. Canceling instances with this report is equivalent to using the Cancel Requirement service operation.

To call the report, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose   Logistics   Sales and Distribution   Sales   Service-Based Availability Check  .
