The Object-Based Navigation (OBN) folder contains all invisible applications for the object-based navigation targets (OBN targets). In object-based navigation, an application sends a business object with data on the processing procedure and definied parameters to NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC). In NWBC, the system assigns a target application to the business object. When NWBC receives the business object, a new page opens with the target application. The system starts the program behind the application and supplies the transferred parameters.

OBN Targets of Web Dynpro Applications

Below is a list of the web applications with their technical names and the defined OBN targets.

      The OBN target is called via the LaunchPad. For this reason, special LaunchPad settings are required (transaction LPD_CUST). Under the following entry, the standard system contains all required settings for the Customer Evaluations LaunchPad: Role: ISRInstance: CUSTOMER_EVALUATIONS. As an example, a unique SAP BI web template is assigned. In addition, the Application ID (application_id) parameter is specified in the role definition.

      If you want to add further, enterprise-specific evaluations (OBN targets from the LaunchPad) to your role definition, you can determine the application ID for a LaunchPad entry by entering XML in the command field. The system displays the source text for the selected instance, which also contains the value for the application ID.
