You can use this business function during the hiring process to transfer the data of a successful candidate from SAP E-Recruiting to your system for SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM). You can transfer the following data:

  • Personal data of the candidate

  • Education data

  • Professional background

  • Qualifications

Now that the data is transferred automatically during the hiring process, it is no longer necessary for HR administrators to create the data for a new employee again when the employee is hired. This reduces administrative effort and possible sources of error.

Prior to business function HCM_HIRE_INT_CI_1, the existing interface for the NewHire integration scenario was used to transfer general administrative data for the candidate (for example, name, address, communication data) to the system for SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) during the hiring process. The new integration scenario available with the business function HCM_HIRE_INT_CI_1 can now be used to provide the system for SAP ERP HCM with data that can be used in the Talent Management processes.

For this reason, the integration between SAP E-Recruiting and HCM Processes and Forms has been enhanced with this business function. With a new interface for the NewHire integration scenario, the business function provides you with a solution for enhanced communication between SAP E-Recruiting, HCM Processes and Forms, and Talent Management. In this way, you can access the data in the candidate profile before the actual hiring date of a new employee and transfer this data to the talent profile in Talent Management. On the employee's first day of work, he or she can already access the data created for him or her during the hiring process and does not need to enter data in his or her talent profile manually.

The NewHire integration scenario supports the following scenarios:

  • Hiring

  • Rehire

  • Transfer

  • Completion of an additional personnel assignment

Integration

  • The business function HCM, SAP E-Recruiting 4 (HCM_ERC_CI_4) supplements the business function HCM, Hire Integration 1 (HCM_HIRE_INT_CI_1) and provides the corresponding functions for data transfer in SAP E-Recruiting.

  • As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, the HR Administrator role is also available in a version for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) for HTML in addition to the HR Administrator 1.51 portal version. The HCM, Roles for SAP NetWeaver Business Client business function (HCM_NWBC_ROLES) provides you with an overview of all Human Resources roles that are available as of SAP enhancement package 5 in a version for SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) for HTML. Features

Transfer of Data from SAP E-Recruiting to System for SAP ERP HCM

During the hiring process you can transfer the data of a future employee from SAP E-Recruiting to your system for SAP ERP HCM. The data is processed using the HR Administrator portal role and HCM Processes and Forms. If the HR administrator starts the process for hiring or rehiring an employee, the data is transferred from the candidate profile to the employee's master data in Personnel Administration and to the talent profile in Talent Management.

In this way, the data for the new employee does not need to be entered again when the employee is hired. This reduces administrative effort and possible sources of error.

You can automatically transfer the following data, which the HR administrator previously entered manually in the SAP ERP HCM system:

  • Personal data of the candidate

    • Name

    • Date of Birth

    • Gender

    • Address

    • E-Mail Address

  • Education data of the candidate

    You can transfer the data for the future employee's education (such as educational institutes, subjects, and degrees/certificates) automatically.

  • Qualifications of the candidate

    You can transfer qualifications and their proficiencies from the candidate profile automatically. This enables you to access the data in the candidate profile before the actual hiring date of a new employee and transfer this data to the talent profile in Talent Management.

  • Professional background of the candidate

    You can transfer the data for the candidate's previous employment relationships automatically. This includes information about previous employers, task profiles, and associations with departments.

  • Customer-specific data for the candidate

    You can also include customer-specific data that you created for a candidate in the automatic data transfer if you have configured these fields in SAP E-Recruiting, in HCM Processes and Forms, and in the relevant process forms accordingly.

Confirmation of Successful Hiring from System for SAP ERP HCM to SAP E-Recruiting

Once the hiring action has been completed successfully in the system for SAP ERP HCM, you can send a confirmation with the personnel number of the new employee from the system for SAP ERP HCM to SAP E-Recruiting. In SAP E-Recruiting, the personnel number is saved together with the candidate profile, thus enabling you to synchronize the candidate data and the employee data.

The new interface for the NewHire integration scenario, which is based on SAP Netweaver Process Integration technology, uses Enterprise Services and adheres to open standards (XML).
