This role includes all activities that are necessary for transportation planning with the Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) function. You can plan interactively, meaning that the system selects and consolidates the orders that fall within the planning time frame, and assigns vehicles or shipments. Finally, you can select the carrier and generate the delivery or shipment in the Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) system. This role also includes all transactions for scheduling the necessary background planning functions.
