Phrase Management – Product Safety

Technical name: SAP_EHS_SAF_PHRASES

Tasks

The task of this role is to manage text modules and their translations in the form of phrases.

You can group phrases together in phrase sets and assign them to fields as possible value assignments.

Integration

You can use the Data Transfer, External – Product Safety role (SAP_EHS_SAF_DATATRANSFER) to create the first database for your SAP System to fill with data, or to update phrases. You can also use the Data Distribution – Product Safety role (SAP_EHS_SAF_DATASENDING) to run a regular static delta distribution to other SAP Systems.

You must have first edited the Phrase Management – Product Safety role in order to be able to output texts independent of their language in the following roles:

Phrases are required in the Specification Management role (SAP_EHS_SAF_SUBSTANCEDATA) as value assignments for specifications. You can then display these value assignment texts in the Specification Display role (SAP_EHS_SAF_SUBSTANCESHOW) and the Specification Information System role (SAP_EHS_SAF_SUBSTANCEINFO).

Phrases are required in the Report Creation (SAP_EHS_SAF_REPORTGENERATION), Report Management (SAP_EHS_SAF_REPORTEDIT), Report Shipping (SAP_EHS_SAF_REPORTSHIPPING), and Report Information System – Product Safety (SAP_EHS_SAF_REPORTINFO) roles as texts on reports. Phrases that are assigned to specifications as values can also be output on reports.
