Mandatory Configuration 

For showing tasks, alerts and notifications from back end systems in the UWL you have to complete the following mandatory configuration steps:

       1.      Mapping the Portal User to the System User

       2.      Register systems to the UWL.

       3.      Retrieve Configuration From the System.

Prerequisite: systems are registered and present in the Portal System Landscape (see prerequisites for the overall UWL configuration).

All other configurations are optional.

If the UWL use case is to use collaboration tasks and to work on KM notifications, no minimal configuration is required at all.
