Function documentationAssign Account Hierarchies

You can use the account hierarchy attribute to assign a node in an account hierarchy to a territory. In this case, all accounts that are at this level of the node or below, belong to this territory. If a new account is added to the account hierarchy, either at this level or below this node, then this account is automatically taken into consideration in the territory.

For more information, see Account Hierarchy.

Integration

You can also upload customer hierarchies from SAP ERP and store them in SAP CRM as account hierarchies. Since customer hierarchies are sales area dependent, it makes sense to assign the sales area attribute to the territory as well.

For more information about customer hierarchies, see the SAP Libraryfor SAP ECC under Start of the navigation path SAP ERP Next navigation step SAP ERP Central Component Next navigation step Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution (SD) Next navigation step Basic Functions and Master Data in SD Processing (SD-BF) Next navigation step Master Data in Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Customer Hierarchies End of the navigation path.

Prerequisites

In Customizing you specify which hierarchy categories are permitted in Territory Management. For more information, see the Implementation Guide for Customer Relationship Management under Start of the navigation path Master Data Next navigation step Territory Management Next navigation step Permitted Hierarchy Categories for Business Partner Group Hierarchies End of the navigation path.
