Regenerating A Runtime Version
A runtime version collects the master data as it was created. You regenerate a runtime version if you want to
· Activate changes you have made to the master data
· Change the characteristics of the runtime version yourself, such as the validity date.

Regenerating the version overwrites the database records of this runtime version.

If you want to provide model versions for a validity date in the future, you must create new runtime versions with the appropriate validity data.
You have already created a runtime version of a knowledge-base object.
All changes made to knowledge-base objects are valid for the runtime version date.

When a runtime version is changed, the validity date is displayed that was assigned to it when it was created – not today’s date.

The changed data is identified so that only the changes are replicated when a continuous system alignment (delta download) is carried out.
The build number of the runtime version is incremented.
