Integration With Guided Procedures 

The collaboration task activities are accessible through the Gallery. The collaboration task runs a sub process within a Guided Procedures instance.

Integration of Workflow Templates and Workflow Activities into Gallery

All collaboration task templates are exposed as activities through the Gallery. In the Gallery they are wrapped as callable objects.

All collaboration task activities and preconfigured workflow scenarios are accessible through the Gallery. In the Gallery they are wrapped as callable objects.

When a process expert wants to create a Guided Procedure by using the Guided Procedure Design Time and browses the Gallery all activities provided Collaboration Tasks are listed.  As a consequence, Guided Procedures can consist of parts provided by Business Workflow and parts provided by Collaboration Task.

When a casual user wants to create a process by using the collaboration task wizard and browses the Gallery all activities provided by collaboration task are listed. As a consequence, an Ad hoc process can consist of parts run by collaboration task and parts run by different software.

The basic elements of a collaboration task are available as callable objects in the Guided Procedures Gallery under the Category JWF. These consist of:

Callable Objects	Description
Action Item	A single step consisting of an input description and a confirmation button.
Approval	A single step consisting of an input description and an Approve and a Reject button.
Request for Feedback	A single step consisting of an input description, feedback metrics, and a confirmation button.
Request for Nomination	A single step consisting of an input description, nomination information, and a confirmation button.

These callable objects are available through the collaboration task wizard.

Launching the Collaboration Task Wizard

You can launch the Collaboration Task Wizard as part of a running Guided Procedure instance from the Guided Procedures You Can menu. The menu item is titled Create Ad Hoc Workflow and launches the collaboration task wizard with awareness of the GP instance context.

You can use the collaboration task to create task lists of arbitrary length consisting of Action Item and Approval steps, as well as single step Requests for Feedback and Nomination. The variable data associated with the GP instance is available for data mapping in each step.
