Required Characteristic Exclusion Conflict
A required characteristic is excluded from the configuration.
Characteristics can be defined by default or by dependencies in such way that their value assignment becomes mandatory. If such a characteristic is excluded during configuration by an additional dependency, a required characteristic exclusion conflict occurs.
By determining and analyzing the configuration conflict, the Configuration Engine can provide information about the conflict.
· Delivery of the technical name for identifying the required characteristic exclusion conflict: CONFLICT_NIL_ REQUIRED
· Delivery of the explanation text maintained for the dependency that caused the required characteristic exclusion.
· Provided that the characteristic in question has been defined as a required characteristic by the dependency, delivery of the explanation text maintained for this dependency
· Provided that value assignment for the characteristic in question is mandatory by default, delivery of this information
A conflict solution does not exist and therefore this type of configuration conflict is excluded during modeling.
The required characteristic exclusion conflict is ignored by the Configuration Engine if the product model is maintained in mySAP ERP.
