Background documentationSubscribing to a Feed

You are provided with a feed that is related to your daily work. Every user is provided with his or her own feed.

Prerequisites

If you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser, you need to adapt your browser settings in order to use the Copy Link button in the feed personalization dialog, which you can access at the central personalization page of SAP CRM. If the browser settings are not configured, the user cannot use this button. In this case, he or she needs to select the link and copy it manually to the feed reader. For more information about how to adapt the browser settings, see http://www.mozilla.org/editor/midasdemo/securityprefs.htmlInformation published on non-SAP site.

To adapt the URL generation to your own requirements, you can adapt the Web dispatcher settings and the table HTTPURLLOC. Features

The feed currently includes worklist items, such as alerts, workflow tasks, and business object inbox items.

You can subscribe to a feed either by using the RSS feed feature of the browser, for example by clicking the RSS icon in the address bar of the Mozilla Firefox browser, or by clicking the feed icon in the feed personalization dialog. You can start this dialog if you click the link Personalize Feed Settings in the feed block on the central personalization page of SAP CRM. In this dialog, you can use the Copy Link button to copy the feed link to the feed reader.

However, these settings are only available if the necessary Customizing settings at business role level have been performed beforehand.
