This function provides levels to evaluate the reliability of information, as well as the reliability of the source providing the information. The information can pertain to a relationship, or to the description or profile of a person.
For example, if a relationship is said to exist between a suspect and a victim based on a witness account, you would set a reliability level for the witness, and another for the information concerning the relationship between suspect and victim.
If you obtain further information during the investigation that confirms or negates the original reliability evaluation, you can update the information and provide supporting comments.
While default levels are provided for both types of reliability, you can customize your own. You can also assign icons to assess overall reliability at a glance, for example, a green circle icon to indicate a combination of information and source reliability that is considered highly trustworthy. The rating is the average value of both types of reliability.
You can also link the reliability evaluation to a specific investigative activity and a responsible agency.
Reliability settings are included in the attributes you can set for a relationship.
