Function documentationReleasable Products

In a sales contract or a sales agreement, you must define the products for which the special contract conditions are valid. The customer can then release these products against the contract or agreement. The conditions that are defined at item level are copied to the follow-up transaction.

Prerequisites

In the copying control for item categories, you have defined the data that should be copied to the items of the follow-up transaction. You make the settings for copying control in Customizing, under Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Transactions Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Copying Control for Business Transactions Next navigation step Define Copying Control for Item Categories End of the navigation path.

If you want to use partner/product ranges in the product list, you must have created them previously. For more information, see Partner/Product Range.

Features

You enter the releasable products in the item overview screen. To do this, you have the following options:

  • You enter the products directly.

  • You enter a product category.

  • You enter a predefined partner/product range. When creating a contract release order, the partner/product ranges are exploded.

You can also combine the options mentioned above.

In sales contracts (quantity contracts or value contracts), you also enter the target quantity or the target value at item level.

Configurable Products

In contracts and agreements, you can also enter configurable products. In Customizing, you can define whether the system copies the configuration when creating a contract release order, or creates the configuration at runtime.

If you want to use configurable products in an outline agreement, you need to set up special item categories for configurable products in outline agreements, and set up copying control for them. SAP makes the item categories QCTC and QCTE available for configurable products in quantity contracts. For more information, see SAP Note 1307133.

Activities

To release the products against the sales contract or the sales agreement, you must set the status of each item to Released.
