The Data Integrity Manager (DIMa) helps you to detect and repair inconsistencies between objects across components within the SAP CRM System landscape. The data comparisons are always carried out between:

  • CRM database and ERP back-end database

  • CRM database and CDB


A SAP CRM System landscape usually consists of more than one database. Every SAP CRM System has a CRM database. In most cases, data exchange with one or more ERP back-end systems is necessary. A consolidated database (CDB) is the basis for data exchange with Mobile Clients. It is very important to keep the objects in the different databases or data sets synchronized.

It is the task of the CRM Middleware to keep the objects consistent across the different components. However, inconsistent data may occur in the following cases:

  • The Delta Load was inactive for some time.

  • The Initial Load could not completely be carried out.

  • Data was accepted in the CRM Server but rejected in an ERP back-end system.

  • Filter conditions were changed for the load from anERP back-end system.


  • Compares data in different components and displays inconsistencies

  • Provides two compare types, namely header compare and detail compare, to check if object instance exists in the database. You can either perform the compare run manually or schedule it in the background.

  • Synchronizes data for many objects. Provides accelerated data extractors for header compare for the following objects:

    • Customer

    • Contacts

    • Material Master

    • Service Master

    • Business Partner

    • Business Partner Relationships

    • Partner Functions

    • Sales Documents (Quotes, Orders)

    • Sales Contracts

  • Creates a DIMa instance to define the parameters for a new data compare.

  • Displays all DIMa instances that have been defined for system combinations and DIMa objects in a tree structure.

  • Displays the status of the DIMa instances that have been started in a header and/or detail compare when you double-click on a node in the tree structure

  • Displays results of a header or detail compare for each DIMa instance

  • Filters contacts based on the sales area of the customer

  • Provides direct links to monitoring transactions R3AR2 and R3AR3 once the request is created in DIMa

  • Allows manual numbering of DIMa requests.


To filter contacts based on the sales area of the customer, carry out the following steps.

Access the SAP Easy Access Menu and choose transaction R3AC1

  1. Select the Customer_Rel (Customer Master Relationships) Business Adapter Object and choose the Tables .

  2. Add the table KNVV in the field Table Name (Source Site).

  3. Save the record.

Navigate back to the SAP Easy Access Menu and choose transaction SDIMA_BASIC

  1. Create the required DIMa instance (for CONTACTS).

  2. While creating the filter for the DIMa instance CONTACTS, choose the fields VKORG, VTWEG, SPART from table KNVV to filter based on sales area.

  3. Save the record.
