Models created in Visual Composer can be modified by more than one user, although not simultaneously. Models in client-workspace (MyModels) folders are locked when the user opens it for editing, allowing other users who have access to the model to open it in read-only mode for viewing only. A model currently being modified by one user can be viewed by another user in read-only mode. Only after the first user saves and closes the model can it be modified by another user. Each user can unlock only those models in his/her own workspace, using the Unlock Models function.

The Visual Composer administrator manages the network of public and private files on the Visual Composer server, unlocking model files that may become locked (files left open but not updated). For more information about unlocking models on the Visual Composer server, see Unlocking Models on the Server in the Administration of SAP NetWeaver Visual Composerguide.

Prerequisites

All models must be closed in your Storyboard.

Procedure

  1. Choose   Model   Unlock Models  . The Unlock Models dialog box is displayed, listing only those models in your client workspace.

  2. Check the model(s) that you want to unlock.

  3. Click Unlock. The model can now be opened in Edit mode.

    Caution Caution

If one user is presently editing a model, and another user unlocks that same model, any changes made to the model by the first user are lost, and an error may occur.

    End of the caution.
