Components

Components are standardized model elements that are reusable, such as a UI component or a data service.

At the top level of your diagram, the following components are available:

iView
Page
Package

Each of these items can contain other items; for example, a package can contain pages, iViews or other packages, while a page can contain iViews. Once you drill down into an iView, a range of UI components are displayed at the top of the Compose Model task panel, along with other model elements, such as operators and connectors.

Structure

The following table lists the components that are available when building your model.

Package	A container for organizing model elements into a portal package
Form View	A standardized iView component used by the runtime user to input data, to view data and/or select displayed data	(Form view)
Table	A table of data used by the runtime user to view output data and/or to edit data	(Table view)
Chart View	A chart - of any selected type - that graphically displays the returned data	(Chart view)
HTML View	A container for displaying an external HTML document Note An HTML view can be used to display Microsoft PowerPoint, Word or other documents. End of the note.	(HTML view)
Nested iView	A container used to define the connection to another iView displayed within the iView	(Nested iView)
Layer	A grouping element used to indicate which UI elements are shown or hidden, in tabbed iViews, wizards or layered views (such as with a toggle button)	See Create Layered iViews for instructions on creating tabs, wizards and other transitions
Flash view	A Flash component, selected from the components already residing on the Visual Composer server. See Using Flash Components in Visual Composer Models	(Flash component)
