You can integrate query information that is stored in text elements in a BI query into your Visual Composer model. Query information is generated from an output port on the query, and provides information such as query author, last update of the data in the underlying InfoCube, and user who last changed the data.

Note Note

Only query information from general text elements is available in Visual Composer. Variables and static filter values are not available.

Prerequisites

As outlined in Work with SAP BI Systems.

Procedure

  1. On the Find Data Services task panel, select a query or query view from a BI system and drag it to the workspace (see Using a BI System as a Data Service).

  2. In the workspace, drag from query's Info port and choose Add Form View from the context menu. The Select Display Fields dialog box is displayed:

  3. Select the query information you wish to display, and click OK.

Result

An info form containing the selected query information is added to the model. Displayed in runtime on the portal, the form might look something like this:
