Finding a Web Service

Use

You can search for running Web services on the local or a remote system.

You can search for a Web service using a WSDL URL. You can also search for Web services by name on the local system.

Prerequisites

To search for Web services using a logical destination of type SR, you must first create a connection to the Services Registry. You can find information on this in the relevant sections in the documentation on the Services Registry.

Procedure

●      Search using the WSDL URL

You can search for Web services for which a deployment was executed on the local system or a remote system.

                            a.      Enter the URL of the WSDL document in the WSDL URL field.

                            b.      Choose Start.

The system opens a list with Web service operations you can test.

●      Search for a Web service for which a deployment was executed on the local provider system.

                            a.      Choose Search in Local Services.

                            b.      Select a Web service from the list.

●      Search for a Web service using the logical destination

You can search for all Web services that the specific logical destination references.

                            c.      Choose Search Using Logical Destination.

                            d.      In the Search field enter a name of a Web service.

You can use either a question mark (?) or asterisk (*) as wildcard characters in the search term.

                            e.      Select the name of a logical destination in the In field.

                              f.      The types of the logical destinations are displayed in the Type field.

                            g.      Choose Find.

                            h.      Select a Web service from the list.
