The system administration role provides you with an interface with the following functions:

  • You can see which objects are currently locked.

  • You can unlock locked objects.

You can release the locks on locked objects at any time, even if the life span and protection span have not expired.

Prerequisites

You must be authorized to launch and use the interface for unlocking objects.

  1. In the system administration role navigate to   Monitoring   Portal   Object Locking  .

    Note Note

The application registered in the lock service of the portal is entered under Available Lock Manager. The lock manager collects and displays all the objects that are locked in the application. The Portal Content Directory (PCD) is registered as the application in the standard delivery. This means that all locked objects of the PCD are displayed for unlocking. You can only add a new application by enhancing the program code and creating another lock manager.
