You can allow users to unlock their own objects. You can do this by configuring the Object Locking interface so that a user filter only permits the user's own lock entries to be displayed.

Procedure

  1. In the Portal Catalog, navigate to   Content Provided by SAP   Admin Interfaces   Admin iView Templates   Object Locking for User  .

    Caution Caution

    Use the Object Locking for Users iView, and not Object Locking, because the required properties have already been preconfigured in this iView.

    End of the caution.

  2. Open the Object Locking for Users iView in the Property Editor. Check that the Activate User Filter property is set to Yes.

  3. Create a role and assign the Object Locking for Users iView as a delta link. For more information about creating roles and assigning objects, see Creating Roles with the Role Editor and Adding Objects as a Delta Link.

  4. Assign the role to all portal users who will be allowed to unlock their own objects. For more information about assigning roles, see Assigning Roles to Users.
