Function documentationDisplaying Prices

 

This function enables you to display price information on the product configuration user interface.

Prerequisites

  • You have configured pricing for your business transactions in Customizing, under Start of the navigation path Customer Relationship Management Next navigation step Basic Functions Next navigation step Pricing End of the navigation path.

  • In Extended Configuration Management (XCM), you have activated the display of the total price and the product variant price, using parameter behavior.hideprices.

  • In XCM, you have activated the display of 1:1 prices, using parameter values.showonetooneconditions.

  • In XCM, you have activated the display of prices in the preview (pricing overview), using parameter customizationlist.prices.show. Using parameters customizationlist.prices.rootinstance, customizationlist.prices.subinstances, and customizationlist.prices.totals, you have set which rows of the pricing procedure should be read, and in which area of the preview they should be displayed.

Features

The following price information is available:

  • Total price (displayed at the top of the configuration screen)

  • 1:1 prices (prices are directly assigned to the characteristic value, and are displayed next to the characteristic value)

    Note Note

    Surcharges or discounts that are determined via complex dependencies go into the total price, but cannot be causally assigned to an individual characteristic value. Depending on the settings, they are either displayed only in the price overview, or not at all.

  • Product variant prices (displayed in area Additional Information in the list of product variants found by the system)

  • Price overview (displayed in the preview; the preview displays the current configuration with the related prices)

    The preview can be divided into three areas:

    • Header product area with generic prices and 1:1 prices

    • Subproduct area with generic prices and 1:1 prices

      This is available only in the case of multilevel configurable products.

    • Totals area at the end of the list

    In all three areas, you can show any number of pricing procedure rows, depending on the XCM settings, for example the base price, and surcharges or reductions.

    Note Note

    The language-dependent descriptions for the variant condition keys are displayed, if these are maintained. Otherwise, the keys are displayed. You maintain the descriptions in SAP ERP (transaction VK30), and replicate them to SAP CRM.

The conditions that determine the price are displayed together with the respective condition amount.
