Function documentationProduct Configuration in Sales Transactions

You can configure products in the sales transaction.

When you choose a configurable product in a quotation, for example, the possible characteristics for the product are displayed automatically at item level. You can select the characteristic values that you want, and so determine a specific attribute for the configurable product. You can copy the configuration from this quotation, into a sales order.

In your Web shop, customers can display and select product variants, view the costs of the selected options, and initiate a sales order.

The order information can be transferred to SAP ERP for further processing.

This function is available in the CRM WebClient UI and in the following channels: Interaction Center, Web Channel, and CRM Mobile.

Integration

For the product configuration, you use master data that you either download from SAP ERP, or model and edit directly in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM). For more information about product modeling in SAP CRM, see Modeling Configurable Products.
