Example documentationExample: No Confirmed Delivery Date

In this example, all items are relevant for the availability check.

The sales order has three items, which are to be delivered at the same time. Therefore, they all belong to the same delivery group.

Note that nothing can be confirmed for item 30. The system therefore creates a delivery group schedule line for item 20 (just as with items 10 and 30), with the confirmed quantity 0.

In this case, the availability check has to be carried out again for item 30 at a later date.

Based on the delivery group date, backwards scheduling is carried out to determine the material availability date. This date is used to reserve the products for items 10 and 20 in the SAP APO system. This ensures that all the items belonging to the delivery group will be confirmed at the same time, when the unconfirmed item is confirmed at a later stage.
