Function documentationUsage of Latest Delivery Date

In the field Latest Delivery Date, you can specify a certain time after which a delivery is no longer required. The value in this field is forwarded to SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) and ensures that if a date is exceeded, delivery does not take place. For example, you specify that ski shoes are only to be delivered until the end of the winter sports season, that is the end of March, because only summer sports items are in demand after this time.

Prerequisites

  • This function is only supported if you use SAP AFS.

  • This field is shown at header level and item level only if the date profile contains the date type Last Delivery, and the date profile is assigned to the transaction type and/or the item category.

Features

At header level, no default value is displayed in the field Latest Delivery Date. However if you manually enter a value at header level, this value is adopted for all newly entered items.

If you copy an item, the latest delivery date is adopted for the newly created item as a default value from the source item. If the field does not contain a date at item level, the system checks whether there is a date at header level, and if so adopts this as a default value in the newly created item.

Additionally, the system checks whether the requested delivery date is before the latest delivery date. If the requested delivery date is after the latest delivery date or is the same date, you cannot save the sales order.
