Internal Quality Inspection for Order Items
If a quality inspection is required for a particular product before shipping, you can use this function to store the information on the type of quality inspection that should be carried out, for the relevant order item in the sales order. The system sends this information to logistics execution.
The system forwards the fixed values on to logistics execution, where they are made available for information purposes for the quality inspection.
You have defined the fixed values with their related descriptions for the internal item inspection, in Customizing. For more information, see Customizing for Customer Relationship Management
at .
You can define different fixed values in Customizing for the different quality inspections of the individual products. For example, you define a corresponding value when you only want to carry out spot checks on a particular product.
When you create or process a sales order, the system copies the fixed value that you have created for the product in the product master data to the sales order, as a default value. You can change this value for the order item in the sales order, and choose a different value that stands for a different quality inspection. The default value is then overwritten by your new selection.
Note
If you want to display a value for the internal quality inspection as a proposal in the sales order, you can define this value in the product master data in the Internal Item Check
field for the relevant product. When you create the sales order, this value is copied to it as a default value. This field is hidden on the regular user interface. You must therefore configure this field appropriately.
Select the required value at item level.
You can also change the default value that was transferred from the product master data to the sales order, and overwrite it with a newly selected fixed value.
