In CRM Enterprise, in the Interaction Center, and in SAP CRM Web Channel, you can enter values in the sales order for batch characteristics for a product that should be considered in SAP ECC during batch determination. Batch determination is carried out in SAP ECC and is visible in SAP CRM in the delivery.

Integration with SAP ECC

SAP ECC is the leading system for the classification's master data. Therefore, you should not edit the classification data in SAP CRM. You should only display classification data in SAP CRM.

Use the function module CLIDL_LOAD_CUSTOMIZING to synchronize the customizing settings for classification between SAP CRM and SAP ECC. It does not matter whether you call the function module in SAP ECC or SAP CRM. Reduce the synchronization to class type 023. Since synchronization does not take place automatically, do not forget to also update later changes that you make in SAP ECC Customizing in SAP CRM Customizing, using the function module named above.

Integration with SAP APO

In SAP APO Customizing, you can make settings to specify whether the system should carry out a characteristic-based availability check for specific batch characteristics. To do this, access the Customizing for SAP APO at Start of the navigation path Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) Next navigation step Product Availability Check Next navigation step Maintain Characteristics View End of the navigation path.

Prerequisites

  • You must have flagged and classified the product in SAP ECC for handling in batches.

  • You must have synchronized the Customizing settings for classification in SAP CRM with the Customizing settings in SAP ECC.

  • You must have replicated the classification data from SAP ECC to SAP CRM. When doing so, you must replicate objects CLASS, ATTRIBUTE, and OBJCL before replicating object MATERIAL.

  • In SAP CRM, you must have assigned the product category that includes products which should be handled in batches, to the product set category COMM_PR_BATCH.

    In the CRM WebClient navigation frame, select Start of the navigation path UI Master Data Next navigation step Product Hierarchies End of the navigation path. Choose the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP and the product subtype MAT_. Assign the product category to the product set category COMM_PR_BATCH.
