Checking Existing Partner/Product Ranges
When checking existing partner/product ranges (PPRs) in the business transaction or application, the system checks whether an active PPR is available that contains the relevant product, this means whether the entered combination of account, product, and time period is valid.
Depending on the business scenario, you also have the option of using a different kind of check of PPRs. You can find more information under Checking Partner/Product Ranges with Exclusion Indicators.
See Partner/Product Range Check under the section "Prerequisites".
You create a business transaction, for example, a sales order.
Once you have entered the relevant data, the system attempts to find a PPR that contains the following data:
product of business transaction item
sold-to party and assigned partners
check date
organizational data (for example, sales organization or transaction type), if applicable
If no combination of account, product and time period exists, that is, if no PPR was created for this combination, the system issues a message that no PPR was found.
You select a different product, or save the transaction despite the error message.
