Function documentationChanging the Status of Partner/Product Ranges

You can use the report Change Partner/Product Range Status to make mass changes to the status of your PPRs. You can change the status of PPRs with the status In Process or Active to Active, To Be Deleted, or To Be Archived and Deleted.

Note Note

PPRs with the status Active cannot be reset to In Process, since they may already be used in business transactions.

PPRs that are used as a reference by other PPRs with the status In Process or Active are not considered if the new status is To Be Deleted or To Be Archived and Deleted. The PPRs affected are listed in the application log.

End of the note.

Note Note

When an active PPR references another PPR, which has the status In Process, the referenced PPR is implicitly activated. This does not change the system status. Consequently, a listing that is not released for the referenced PPR is valid.

End of the note.

Note Note

PPR2 contains a listing for snow chains. Since the PPR has the status In Process, the listing is not valid.

PPR1 references PPR2. Since PPR1 is active, the listing for snow chains is also valid. This means that the snow chains can be sold all year round.

End of the note.

Activities

  2. Make the following entries and then choose Execute on the screen Partner/Product Range (PPR) Status Change: Selection Screen:

    • Enter appropriate selection criteria (PPR header data).

    • Enter the new PPR status you want to assign.

If you are unable to change the status of certain PPRs (for example, because the PPR type does not allow the PPR to be deleted), a message is issued in the application log in the lower half of the screen.

On this screen, you specify which PPRs you want to change the status for and then choose Change PPR Status.

  4. The List of Updated Partner/Product Range (PPR) Headers screen is displayed, which contains all changed PPRs together with their PPR type and their new status.
