Function documentationConnection to CRM Mobile Sales

A two-way data exchange between CRM Server and CRM Mobile Sales enables uniform integration of processes in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns within the company and in the field.

Campaigns created online can be transferred to mobile clients and then carried out by the sales force. Furthermore, the sales force can take an active role in the planning. Both centralized planning online as well as decentralized planning in CRM Mobile Sales are possible.

Prerequisites

A campaign will be transferred to mobile clients only if their status allows the business transaction Distribute Campaign to MSA (CMSA). In the standard system, a campaign is transferred to mobile clients if you set the system status to Released and then save your work.

If you want to transfer campaigns to mobile clients at an earlier date, you must define a user status allowing the business transaction Distribute Campaign to MSA (CMSA).

If you want to exclude specific campaigns from being transferred to the mobile clients, you must define a user status that does not permit the business transaction Distribute Campaign to MSA (CMSA).

Features

Transferring Campaigns from CRM Server to CRM Mobile Sales

Campaigns you create in Marketing are written to the consolidated database (CDB). If a mobile client synchronizes with the CDB, campaigns are transferred to the mobile clients.

Campaign hierarchies from CRM Server are assigned to corresponding campaign hierarchies in CRM Mobile. Moreover, the following additional objects assigned to campaigns are transferred to mobile clients and can be used to carry out campaigns.

  • Texts

  • Documents

  • Products

  • Campaign-specific conditions

  • Target groups

  • Partner functions

  • Campaign planning data such as key figure planning, cost planning, success key measures, distribution data

In CRM Mobile Sales a campaign cannot be broken down into multiple campaign elements. If a campaign is broken down into multiple campaign elements in CRM Server, the system creates a separate campaign for the campaign header and for each campaign element in CRM Mobile Sales. The relationship between campaign header and campaign elements is displayed in CRM Mobile Sales as a hierarchical relationship between campaigns.

Editing Campaigns in CRM Mobile Sales

If you want to edit a campaign on a mobile client, the edited data is updated during CRM Server synchronization. After synchronizing you can view the changed data or edit it further in Marketing.

Immediately after synchronization, campaigns are also updated in the consolidated database (CDB). From this point on, other mobile clients can access the updated data.

Creating a New Campaign in CRM Mobile Sales

If you create new campaigns on a mobile client, these campaigns are also created in CRM Server during synchronization. At the same time, the system checks for data consistency. For example, the system prevents a campaign from being imported to CRM Server if a campaign already exists there with the same identification key. The campaign is imported but is given its own unique code instead.

If you create a campaign on a mobile client and import it to CRM Server, this campaign receives the status Released once it is imported. In the standard system, these campaigns are immediately ready to be transferred to other mobile clients.
