A natural person, that is used in the component CRM business partner in the employee role (object type key CP) or a CRM user (object type key US), that is assigned to a position in an organizational model.

By assigning an employee or a user to a position, you can show where an employee is assigned organizationally in a company (what his function is).

Note Note

You can define the user key in the employee master. If you then assign the employee to a position, the user is automatically assigned as well and is displayed in the structure.

End of the note.

Note Note

To enable an employee to display the worklist functions in the Locator, he must be assigned to a position as an employee.

When using SAP Workflow, users must be assigned to the position directly.

If you are also using CRM Territory Management, we recommend you assign only one employee to a position.

End of the note.

Integration

The employee is shown in the CRM System as the business partner with the business partner role Employee.

Employee masters can be distributed from the main system into the CRM System. In this case, a master record from the employers is created in the CRM System for a central person (object type key CP). The master record for the central person contains the link to the organizational unit. The system can automatically create a CRM business partner master record with the role Employee using this person. This will also link to the organizational unit. Creating business partners in the Employee role is then not possible.

If you have not integrated a personnel management system, you can create employees in the business partner master. You can find further information under BP – Role Employee for HR Integration in CRM.
