Object documentationService Organization

Organizational unit in the service area in which services are planned and prepared. The service organization is responsible for the economic success of a service area within an existing organizational model.

Several responsible service organizations can be assigned to a service organization. For example, service organization south can be sub-divided in the responsible service organizations Munich and Stuttgart.

For CRM service there is attribute Service organization, which you set in organizational model maintenance on the Function tab page. This attribute flags an organizational unit as a responsible organizational unit in the service area. This means that the organizational unit is flagged as a superordinate organizational unit in the service area, to which you can assign subordinate organizational units.

Subordinate organizational units, the responsible service organizations, report to the service organization. By inheriting the attribute Service organization, the system identifies the subordinate organizational units implicitly as organizational units for the service area.

Integration

In mapping, the service organization corresponds to the maintenance planning plant in SAP ECC. This means that the system determines the maintenance planning plant in SAP ECC from the service organization in CRM and puts the number of the service organization as the maintenance planning plant in the message.
